Course Description
This course covers a variety of topics concerning the microeconomics of economic development in low-income countries, focusing on the behavior of agricultural households, poverty, inequality, education, health and nutrition, and evaluation of development programs.Topics in the microeconomic analysis of development covered include: education (both the determinants of educational outcomes and the impact of those outcomes on several economic outcomes), poverty, inequality, demography (population, fertility and gender issues), and the impact of international aid.
