SDGs in Action
Just 2 percent of farmers in the United States are Black, and Tiffany LaShae, a master’s student in the Graduate Program in Land and Atmospheric Science, is a leader among them. A vegetable farmer, food justice activist, and soil health educator, LaShae is empowering farmers of color and activating white allies throughout the Midwest and the country.
The University of Minnesota has taken another significant step in its efforts to highlight its impact nationally and globally, and fulfilling promises laid out in the MPact 2025 strategic plan, by participating in the fourth edition of the Times Higher Ed Impact Rankings (THE Impact Rankings), which in 2022 includes rankings from 1,406 institutions and 106 countries/regions.
The UMN Sustainable Development Goals Initiative is pleased to announce the SDG Student Group Activity Grant program, which supports UMN student groups who are engaged in activities related to one or more of the Sustainable Development Goals.
