The World Health Organization has launched a new toolkit that aims to help health professionals effectively communicate about climate change and health.

Systemwide Sustainability Student Impact Awards were handed out at the Sustainability Symposium in April. University of Minnesota undergraduate and graduate student individuals and groups were recognized for their efforts leading the way toward a future in which people and the environment prosper together. 

NRRI researchers find that size of fire matters less than intensity of the blaze. Wildfires in northern Minnesota are increasing – the number, the size and the intensity. Within most folks' memories are the Ham Lake Fire (2007), Pagami Creek Fire (2012) and most recently, the Greenwood Fire (2021).
