BioMADE announced 9 new projects totaling $20.6 Million to advance bioindustrial manufacturing innovation and education. BioMADE is a Manufacturing Innovation Institute sponsored by the U.S. Department of Defense, launched in 2021.
Valerian Materials was founded in 2015 by Dr. Kechun Zhang, Dr. Frank Bates, and Dr. Marc Hillmyer as a spin-off company based on research out of the NSF Center for Sustainable Polymers. They were selected as one of four Technology and Innovation Projects in the initiative.
