The Sustainable Development Goal 15 of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is devoted to “protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss.”

This session of the Sustainable Development Goals Webinar Series will feature three very different perspectives on biodiversity and its importance for ecosystem health. The webinar is being co-hosted by the Sustainable Development Goals Initiative and MnDRIVE Environment, the latter of which recently added to its research scope the goal of “Enhancing nature’s benefits to people by conserving or restoring biodiversity”.

Comments and discussion will focus on SDG #15 Life on Land targets and how we can help reach sustainable development goals by improving the diversity of life on land: https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/biodiversity/.
