This online event will investigate opportunities and challenges for advancing climate goals at COP 29. We will particularly focus on the role higher education and other observers can play in setting shared goals and advocating for climate action at the 29th Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP 29).
This combined panel presentation and group discussion will provide:
- Enhanced understanding of COP 29 processes.
- Opportunities for advocacy and influencing COP 29 outcomes with particular emphasis on the role higher education can play.
- A shared understanding of how public-private-academic partnerships can better inform COP processes and advance shared goals.
- Space to share participants’ key priorities related to COP 29 and discuss opportunities for collaboration and impact.
- A platform for creating collective plans/goals around participating in COP 29 and how to influence COP outcomes.
